We are a software development venture that is developing a new way to install, configure and integrate software to remote computers. Using our service, open source projects can sell the installation and integration of their software directly to end users, bypassing the systems integrators that currently capture most of the revenue when open source projects are deployed by businesses. Our service benefits the end customers, who get reproducible and documented installs, and the open source developers, who now have a new way to generate revenue from their projects.
We are looking for senior software developers and architects to join our founding team. You should understand the open source software development operation as well as have a CS degree and 3-5 years experience with software architecture and development. We follow an agile methodology (with continuous build, automated deployment and automated regression testing) and use Struts2 in MVC framework, Spring, JPA, PostgreSQL technologies as well as C++ in some subsystems. We are starting a new subsystem and will probably code it in Python.
We will consider candidates located anywhere in the USA. Our CTO is located in New York City, but our development team is distributed worldwide. We use many tools for collaboration and our CTO has worked remotely for companies located in Chicago, Washington State and Ireland. We are interested more in talent and fit than whether or not everyone can sit in the same office.
We are open to working with developers that have a full-time job, as long as it does not conflict with the project or have moonlighting restrictions.
Salary: This will have a co-founder status with founder equity and/or small salary. The salary will be increased upon each funding event. We are currently self-funded.
