  Title: Senior Account Executive

 

Job Summary:

Excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional to fill a Senior Account Executive role in a growing and entrepreneurial technology consulting firm. The individual will be responsible for selling the full suite of the firm’s services and solutions - including IT consulting, custom application development, engineering and testing, infrastructure and maintenance. Target clients will be geographically oriented in the Western U.S. and from the following industries: retail, media & entertainment, automotive and biotechnology. However, responsibilities may also extend to other marquee accounts throughout other parts of the U.S. The individual will work closely with an internal team that will support all sales pursuits. The position will be based in California (LA/SF), and report directly to the Director of Business Development.

 

Responsibilities:

           Execute and support an aggressive Western U.S. growth strategy, meeting quarterly and annual sales quotas

            Establish, develop and foster quality relationships with potential and existing clients to distinguish the firm from competitors

           Analyze client needs to professionally prepare, submit and present accurate and timely formal proposals

            Scope, estimate, and price client consulting engagements including the approach  and structure of the deliverables, staff requirements, and timelines

           Convey conceptual solutions and value to C- and VP-level executives

            Manage relationships and decision processes with upper management and navigate a lengthy sales cycle

            Prospect to Fortune 1,000 clients

            Track accounts and ensure regular contact

            Attend company trade shows and conduct off-site customer meetings as required

            Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with internal sales, technology, delivery and marketing teams

            Collaborate with team members to craft annual marketing and sales plans

           Lead development of growing sales team

 

Qualifications:

           Experience selling technology consulting services (custom application development,  testing & maintenance), particularly to the following domains: retail, automotive, media & entertainment, and biotechnology

           Experience having worked for a major consulting firm, with a minimum $3M annual quota, and successful track record of selling deals in the $2M to $20M range

           Existing network of decision-maker level individuals in the technical community

           Proven ability to call on, network with, and sell to C-level individuals of target companies

           Extraordinary communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills; comfort speaking to senior IT and business executives

           Proven results in an environment of measurement and goal setting

 

Other Requirements:

 

·       10+ years of previous sales experience

·       Strong organizational and leadership skills

·       Quick learner and enjoy a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

·       Enthusiasm and high energy

·       Proficient in web-based applications, computer systems and programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

·       Strong professional ethics and integrity

·       Bachelor’s degree, CS/Engineering preferable; MBA or advanced degree desirable

 

Reporting Structure:

           Report directly to the Director of Business Development

 

Location & Travel:

           California, San Francisco or Los Angeles
