Next year holds an even more exciting roster of video shows and talent for ChannelFlip, and this technical role is crucial in allowing ChannelFlip to build and grow its audience of viewers online.
Job Title
Lead Architect at ChannelFlip Media
Job Objective
The Lead Architect will be required to design, implement, develop and programme both IT and software systems that enable ChannelFlip to more efficiently distribute and measure its video shows. Â This will include designing and implementing hardware solutions (eg web servers), software as a service utilities (eg Brightcove Video) and custom development (eg Javascript widgets).
Principle Duties
1. Developing widgets using Flash and Javascript to sit on web platforms including Facebook and the wider web.
2. Designing and implementing the video systems that power ChannelFlip's video playouts (including core video technology, third party hosting and transcoding and integration into CMS workflow)
3. Using initiative to find and develop new ways of adding efficiency to ChannelFlip's video platform and software
4. Contributing to UX research to better optimise ChannelFlip's products
5. Managing and maintaining ChannelFlip's core backend systems (Wordpress, Doubleclick, Brightcove, Castfire)
Relationships
The Lead Architect will report in the first instance to the Chief Operating Officer who will work with the LA to manage priorities, projects and goals. Â Initially, the LA will not have anyone else reporting to him although the LA may be required to manage the technical aspect of third party relationships with the company's commercial suppliers.

Salary Range
£30-£40k dependent on experience with equity in exceptional circumstances.
