Developer Support Engineer

This not your typical support role. We don't believe in "tiers". In fact, you may sometimes even forget that you're in support! You'll be asked to troubleshoot complex code on the fly. You'll be pushed to the limit of your technical ability, then asked to go a step further. This is an opportunity to put your years of software support or development experience to an important use while working in an employee-centric environment that is challenging, dynamic, fun, and dedicated to offering world-class software and world-class service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding technical support to customers and partners via the web, email and phone
  • Review and troubleshoot complex code issues
  • Resolve all customer inquiries in a professional, pleasant, and timely manner
  • Lead and/or participate in customer status calls
  • Identify and document all customer issues, feedback and enhancements requests in the Palantir ticket-tracking system
  • Contribute to the Palantir Knowledge Base by documenting frequently asked questions, solutions and techniques
  • Provide product feedback and help to drive product improvements by working closely with QA and Engineering
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and other projects as needed
  • Be knowledgeable and proficient on all Palantir products and services 

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess a positive attitude with the desire to be a long-term member of our team as we scale. Other qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years industry experience in technical support, professional services, engineering or related function
  • Exceptional English oral and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in an   understandable way
  • Experience with software development in Java/J2EE
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of Windows and Linux/Unix
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle, and SQL
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to succeed in a team-based environment
  • Strong customer service ethics and integrity
  • A can-do attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work flexible hours
