About the Role & Responsibilities
TechCrunch now hosts about three major conferneces a year, an annual awards ceremony and lots of other meetups, and we need a conferences and event-planning expert. TechCrunch events include our popular business-networking CrunchUps held in multiple US and international cities, TechCrunch Disrupt Conferences in New York and San Francisco, the Crunchies Award Ceremony, and new events under development. TechCrunch events currently range in attendance from 500 - 2,000.
The Conferences & Events Director will be responsible for all major planning components of TechCrunch events, including venue and vendor research and negotiation, technical coordination, agenda and speaker coordination, ticketing and registration planning, sponsor and press management, and more. The candidate should have both amazing organizational and interpersonal skills as well as unlimited energy.
Three+ years relevant work experience preferred.
