Summary
We are seeking a strong Business Analyst to serve as a critical team member in the organization. This person will generate insights and make recommendations that will benefit the user experience and the bottom-line. Responsibilities
- Drive revenue and operational planning, management, modeling, and analysis. Present insights and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Serve as the analytical owner of all advertising revenue streams (display, text, etc.) and develop methods and testing plans for yield optimization. Oversee sponsored listings relationship with Google.
- Lead site analytics and statistical modeling initiatives, liaising with product, sales and business development teams to understand trends, develop forecasts, and model business impact. Establish user experience metrics, creating goals/targets and driving insights that aid in understanding impact of products/features on user satisfaction and lifetime value.
- Report and analyze site traffic, monetization, user experience, and product performance using both internal and external data and research sources. Manage A/B testing schedule and drive analytics associated with product and yield optimization tests.
- Manage site activity, user behavior, and monetization statistics and reporting by producing daily, weekly and monthly summary reports and analysis for senior management team. Synthesize data for communicating product and marketing impact on traffic and revenue metrics.
- Coordinate cross-functionally (Engineering, Product Management) to ensure proper data tracking mechanisms are implemented to collect all pertinent data elements. Identify, analyze and resolve problems related to automated systems and operations.
- Model business impact of potential partnerships in coordination with ad sales and business development team
- Head up product analytics and revenue yield management
- Provide data and insight from internal metrics for corporate presentations
Required Experience and Technical Skills
- 4+ years in the internet advertising space, internet search, or e-commerce.
- Strong understanding of online metrics, web analytics, and KPIs.
- Demonstrated data analysis and forecasting skills (Analytics or Business Intelligence projects).
- Able to marry data analytics with sound business insight and judgment.
- Familiarity with A/B or multivariate testing.
- Competent SQL skills. Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Technical knowledge of site measurement tools and cookie analysis.
- Strong presentation and communication skills. Comfortable interacting with senior management.
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree, preferably in an analytical field.
