CUTS Performance Marketing Affiliate Merchant  Manager Job Description


The Merchant Manager position represents a unique opportunity to help lead the evolution of an innovative and profitable affiliate marketing network that currently services over 1,000 financial institutions. The Merchant Manager is responsible for working with best-in-class brands such as Intuit, Barnes & Noble and HP to develop and deliver value added, web based offers to the customers and members of financial institutions. This position reports to the Senior Vice President and is a key member of a rapidly growing company with a large and loyal customer base.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Serve as primary owner of all aspects of the merchant partnerships. Drive day-to-day relationship management and long term growth.
  • Develop and maintain merchant roadmap. Assist in the vetting and recruitment of new merchants and agreement renewals.
  • Conceptualize, launch and manage product offers and end user marketing campaigns.
  • Guide development of creative assets utilizing proven direct response and email marketing strategies to optimize campaign performance.
  • Analyze multiple sources of internal and external data to assist in selling and merchant recruitment decisions.
  • Ensure effective execution of marketing campaigns to support merchant requirements and brand guidelines.
  • Refine processes for tracking key metrics to ensure data-driven decision making.
  • Monitor and report tracking, delivery, and campaign performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Serve as primary contact for merchant specific issues.

 

Qualifications:

The Ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years of account management experience, preferably within an ecommerce or affiliate marketing company.
  • Proven analytical skills and highly comfortable with numbers. Experience with SalesForce, DirectTrack and Google Analytics a plus.
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
  • Relentless customer focus.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • BA/BS required.
